Happy Easter

I hope you all had a nice Easter. The weather here was absolutely gorgeous!!!  The day in itself was perfect in every way.  To help celebrate this beautiful day I made a special cake to celebrate...a chocolate cake made to look like an Easter basket complete with grass and robin eggs....it was delicious!!!!  Hope you like it..Until next time....Happy Baking!!!!

Welcome to the New Year!!

Hello and welcome to the New Year.  Here it is three weeks into 2014 and I have not done one post for the New Year.  I will try to be more prompt with posting but as we all know, things just get in the way sometimes.  I have been so busy with family that I didn't really have time to do a whole lot of posting.  I missed Halloween, Thanksgiving and even Christmas!! Yikes!! It is a little late to post Halloween and Thanksgiving goodies but still not to late to post one or two Christmas goodies....Thanks to Sugarbelle, I was able to recreate her pointsetta platter for my co-workers for the Christmas holiday.  I flavored both the dough and the icing with anise flavoring and the cookies were delicious!!!  Thanks Sugarbelle for such a great tutorial(and an easy peasy one at that)!! The other set of cookies I am posting is from an online cookie exchange that I took part in with the CookiersRus gals...this is a great forum and if you are a cookie decorator, novice or otherwise; it is the place to be.  That is about all for this post. Until next time.....Happy Baking!!!

 

New Blog Name

Hello Everyone:
It has been a little while since I posted but I have been busy thinking about this blog. I have decided that it is time for a new name. I not only make cookies, but I also do cakes and I make chocolate too. I wanted a name that would reflect all of that so I came up with the name of "Sweet Tooth Creationz". I have deleted my old blog and hope that this new name will serve the purpose for which it is intended. Mason Jar Mini Cookies

Since Christmas will be upon us soon, it is time to start thinking about Christmas cookies!!! This year I am selling mini cookies in mason jars. I have decided that there will be four themes available....Christmas Joy, Childs's Dream, Outdoor Fun, A Child is Born. Whichever theme you choose the cookies will be decorated according to that theme. The jars are available in small(pint)and large(quart). Thanksgiving Cake

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!! Desserts are always a big part of the holiday meal so in keeping with that I not only had pumpkin pie and pumpkin roll, I also made a Thanksgiving cake.  I got a new play toy, an airbrush; so I wanted to try it out. I only airbrushed lightly so it doesn't really show up all that great in this picture but it really did make the cake look nice. The buttercream icing was a very light gold and then I airbrushed it with orange just to highlight it. Anyway, hope you had a great day with your family yesterday and were able to "Give Thanks" for your many blessings bestowed upon you in your everyday life...Enjoy and until next time...Happy Baking!!!

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello Everyone...

Thanksgiving is almost upon us so to help get in the mood I thought I would post a few pictures of some turkey cookies I made and a turkey cupcake cake...two easy desserts to make for Thanksgiving dinner...of course for next week I am also making a Thanksgiving cake so that picture will come later...one thing I noticed AFTER doing the turkey cookies is that their wings are too fat and they don't look like wings at all!!
